As a non-profit, private museum, the Washington County Historical Society relies on multiple avenues of funding to support the costs of our two properties, our staff, and our historical programming. In addition to museum admissions, gift shop sales, ticketed events and fundraisers, individual memberships and business sponsorships are vital to our survival. Without your support, we could not keep our doors open!

In addition to the financial support our members provide, our membership program also serves as our primary outlet for outreach, as our members serve as loyal ambassadors for our organization. Many locally-based members also form the backbone of our volunteer core, helping plan and carry out a variety of programs. Learn more about volunteering for the Historical Society here.

Perks of WCHS membership include: Free museum admission, 20% off all gift shop sales and 20% off the cost of any Historical Society ticketed event, and much more.

Three WCHS members work on creating a replica of the CSS Albemarle’s smokestack for the Port o’ Plymouth Museum.

We appreciate your support!
